Brief

To create an identity that encapsulates what the company produce

Background

CTAL is a brand new facility that develop new composite aero-engine components.

The facility has been developed to pilot pioneering manufacturing processes for aero-engine fan blades and fan-cases made of composite materials.

CTAL’s £14.8m facility will employ 70 engineers on the Isle of Wight and has been supported with £7.4m in funding from the UK government.

Because of the nature of the business the logo had to be supremely accurate in its construction, and great care was taken to make sure all the elements exactly fitted alongside one another. The colour scheme was a combination of the two joint venture company colours, blue and orange, and a vector based representation of carbon fibre.
