Brief

To design a whole new quality brand and all necessary marketing collateral for a new company launching at NEC Birmingham in September 2013.

Background

Chilling Out commissioned Cromby Design to look at every aspect of their marketing including market positioning, logo design, web design, stand design and printed material. The company has aspirations to break into various markets and so the brand needed to reflect where the company is going, not where it is.

The shapes of the C and O not only stand for Chilling Out, they also emulate the actual fridge with a side tray accessory. The blue colour scheme is an obvious link to the cooling nature of the product. The photographic imagery was specially chosen to be aspirational and helps to give the product a quality feel. This sign of quality is continued with the cut out metallic logo applied to the side of the fridge.

The website address www.chillin-out was a conscious decision to convey the message that the fridge units can be used inside and out. There are some nice touches on the website for instance if you rollover or tap on the product shots it opens the lid and reveals the contents of the fridge. Also the animated main imagery on the website reinforces the slogan ‘Refreshment is never far away’ by showing two scenes, one being that of a an exotic island landscape and the other a¬†conventional garden thats closer to home.
